With an increasing number of families choosing the ‘staycation’ option Haven Holidays have enhanced their ‘top of the range’ product with the launch of a new exclusive service aimed specifically at people booking their premium Prestige and Platinum grade holiday homes at Devon Cliffs – the company’s flagship park in the South West.
‘Devon Cliffs Select’ allows you to choose exactly where you’d like to stay on the park and shows just what your holiday home will include before you book.
The web-based service www.devoncliffs-select.com gives walk-through images of each holiday home and even shows the view you can enjoy as well as pin-pointing the exact location on a map of the Park.
And it’s not just about choosing the holiday home that suits you best with a guaranteed location – booking a caravan through this service also offers an earlier, assisted check-in with someone to show you to your holiday home; a twice-weekly maid service and luxury towels as well as beds made up ready for your arrival.
Haven say, ‘We’ve combined many of the pleasures of staying in a hotel, such as someone cleaning your room and making your bed with the sheer good value for money comfort and flexibility of self-catered accommodation. Our Select holiday homes are more like a stylish apartment than a caravan – yet still have all the benefits of the facilities on park and the proximity to the beach.’
Devon Cliffs resort boasts five stars, fabulous coastal views, direct access to a gorgeous sandy beach and first class family facilities. It also offers guests a huge indoor and outdoor swimming pool complex with slides and flumes, Adventure Golf, a climbing wall, multi-sports courts and a range of activities that includes football coaching, archery, fencing and kids clubs as well as daytime and evening entertainment.
There’s also a superb spa with a choice of health and beauty treatments on offer, glorious walking along the South West Coast Path and many visitor attractions throughout Devon within each reach.
A week in Spring in a premium holiday home at Devon Cliffs start at around £379 for seven nights for a family of up to six people. For more information and bookings click on www.devoncliffs- select.com
Note to editor: This service is currently only available to customers booking 7 night holidays.

Anna Ryder Richardson was at Haven Holidays’ Kiln Park this week to launch a new look for caravan styling.

Woodland Breaks
The debate raging about the future of British forests and woodlands has been a timely reminder of just how important these spaces are to the British public. With tens of thousands signing petitions to protect the status of the forests, more and more are considering the calming environment of woodland as exactly the staycation they are looking for to relax and unwind on holiday.
With thirteen family holiday parks enjoying woodland habitat, Haven Holidays offer a tree-mendous range of locations from which to explore the great British forests.
Haven’s Wild Duck Park near Great Yarmouth is set in a truly tranquil woodland setting. Caravans are nestled between leafy trees and there are some lovely walks through the woods and along the nearby Norfolk Broads.
Kids (and adults too) can uncover their inner Robin Hood wit archery coaching, or really get away from it all by hiring bikes and exploring the forest.
The new Wildlife Detectives walks provide a great opportunity for kids to explore their environment, digging out creepy crawlies and planting their own trees to rear at home. They’ll have so much fun they won’t realise how much they are learning!
Haven have a long history of conservation and environmental awareness, and every year are doing more and more to raise the bar higher. Over the last decade Haven have planted an extraordinary 300,000 trees across their 35 parks which not only help the fight against global warming by taking in the harmful greenhouse gas CO2 but make the parks greener and more attractive places to stay.
All these factors and more make a Haven woodland break a great option. Wood-n’t you agree??!!
Prices for a Spring Break at Wild Duck start at £99 based on a family of up to six in Superior two-bedroom self-catering accommodation arriving on 21st March for four nights. Call 0871 230 1900 or click on www.haven.com

Notes to Editors:
Haven parks with notable woodlands include:
Haggerston Castle in Northumberland, where the former landowner, Christopher Leyland developed the eponymous Leylandii conifer.

Lydstep Beach in West Wales where the ancient woodlands are part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Devon Cliffs where a bird hide had been established to watch the birds. Plus Lakeland, Reighton Sands, Primrose Valley, Thorpe Park, Littlesea and Weymouth Bay.

Go Wild with Haven on Safari
Burnham on Sea might be a bit light on big game but treat the family to a break in one of Haven Holidays' brand new safari tents and you'll enjoy the charm of African outdoor living without leaving the country!
Inspired by the safari experience these stylish tents offer more comfort and luxury than you would ever expect to find under canvas. They have a wide wooden verandah where you can relax in the shade and come fully equipped with sun loungers, beds, tables and chairs and kitchen facilities including a cooker, fridge and all the necessary utensils.
In a wooded setting amongst the trees around an open central area the safari tents will have a communal barbecue for easy cooking and plenty of space to chill out and enjoy the outdoor life.
'In our view living under canvas should be comfortable as well as fun,' say Haven 'and our new safari tents offer both. We can't offer the African savannah but kids will love the Wildlife Detective programme and you can always net yourself a big catch on Burnham's well-stocked fishing lakes!'
The safari tents are also available at Perran Sands on the North Cornish coast where they will provide an interesting alternative to the popular yurts that have become a much sought after feature of the park. The tents at Perran will be nestled amongst the sand dunes and provide easy access to the beach for surfers.
Staying in a safari tent might feel like a 'back to nature' holiday but they still offer access to Haven's extensive leisure facilities, heated indoor pools and full programme of kids' clubs and daytime and evening entertainment.
Prices start at just £229 for four nights in June for a family of up to five in a safari tent if you book before the 28th February. Call 0871 230 1900 or visit www.haven.com
31st January 2011
